Marcus Garvey School has unequivocally stood as testimony to the incredible achievements of its founder, Dr. Anyim Palmer. The school has received national acclaim for its academic achievements. Scholars, politicians, educators, and journalist, from around the nation have come to witness the incredible academic fetes performed by Marcus Garvey students. Founded in 1975 under the inspirational leadership of Dr. Anyim Palmer, we provide co-educational pre-k, elementary education to approximately 70 students. Over the last 40 years, our school has built a reputation for producing students who are well rounded, articulate, self confident, respectful, sensitive to the make-up and differences of all who come into their immediate surroundings, no matter what the existing environment may present.
